Tesla PPF, Ceramic Coating and Paint Correction for Model Y, Model 3, Model S and Model X
Tesla Model Y After a New Car Detail with Ceramic Coating
Protect and enhance your Tesla with professional detailing, Paint Protection Film, ceramic coating and paint correction from our dedicated studio near Reading and Wokingham.
From brand-new Model Y and Model 3 vehicles needing protection from their first miles, through to higher-mileage Teslas requiring paint correction and refurbishment, every service is tailored around the condition of the car, how you use it and the level of protection you actually need.
We have worked on Tesla vehicles for many years, including full-car PPF installations, Full Front protection, ceramic coating, new-car detailing and substantial paint correction projects.
Whether you are looking for Tesla PPF in Berkshire, a ceramic coating for a new Model Y or simply want to restore a heavily marked Tesla before protecting it properly, everything is completed in-house by our own team.
Every Tesla we work on is handled at our dedicated studio near Reading and Wokingham.
PPF is installed entirely in-house. We do not subcontract the work, meaning the same team discussing your requirements is responsible for preparing, installing and inspecting the film.
Our Graphtec FC9000 allows us to plot patterns ourselves and make adjustments where appropriate rather than relying entirely on a standard externally supplied kit.
You also benefit from more than 20 years of hands-on detailing experience, specialist paint correction facilities, premium ceramic coatings, comprehensive insurance and more than 150 five-star Google reviews.
Every PPF installation is supported by the applicable manufacturer film warranty and our own installation guarantee.
More importantly, we will tell you when a service is not necessary.
A new Tesla does not automatically need extensive paint correction, and not every customer needs full-car PPF. Our recommendation is based on the car, how you use it and what you are trying to protect.

Tesla Detailing Based on Real Experience
Tesla paintwork can look excellent when correctly prepared, but the condition varies considerably from vehicle to vehicle.
We regularly see relatively new Teslas with light swirl marks, wash marring, water spotting and contamination, while darker colours in particular can make even minor defects considerably more noticeable.
That does not mean every Tesla requires extensive paint correction.
Some delivery-mileage cars need very little polishing before protection. Others arrive with defects caused during transportation, storage or previous washing and handover - and benefit from further preparation before a ceramic coating is applied.
Our approach is to inspect the vehicle first and recommend what the paint actually needs rather than automatically selling the most intensive package.

Tesla Paint Protection Film
Tesla PPF provides physical protection against stone chips, scratches, minor scuffs and the everyday damage that can accumulate during normal driving.
It is particularly useful on Model Y and Model 3 vehicles regularly used on motorways, where the front bumper, bonnet, wings, headlights and other forward-facing surfaces receive the majority of road debris.
Our Tesla Paint Protection Film options range from individual areas such as the front bumper or headlights through to Full Front PPF, extended Track Pack coverage and complete full-car PPF.
Every plotted installation is cut in-house using our Graphtec FC9000. Patterns are adjusted and extended where appropriate, with edges wrapped wherever the panel design allows.
The Tesla "T" Badge and selected trim pieces are also removed and refitted where appropriate to produce a cleaner installation.

Tesla Ceramic Coating
A professional Tesla ceramic coating is designed to improve gloss, water behaviour and resistance to everyday environmental contamination while making regular washing considerably easier.
Ceramic coating is particularly popular on new Teslas where the owner wants to preserve the finish without committing to full-car Paint Protection Film.
The paintwork is properly cleaned, decontaminated and inspected before coating. Machine polishing is carried out where required rather than applying protection directly over existing defects.
We offer coating options with different levels of durability depending on how the vehicle is stored, used and maintained.
Ceramic coating does not prevent stone chips. If physical impact protection is the priority, PPF is the more appropriate solution.
Swirl marks, wash marring and fine scratches can become particularly obvious on darker Tesla paintwork, including black vehicles.
Our Tesla paint correction services range from light gloss enhancement through to single-stage, two-stage and more intensive multi-stage correction for vehicles with heavier defects.
We inspect the paintwork first and choose the least aggressive process capable of achieving the required improvement.
The aim is to restore gloss and clarity while preserving as much original clear coat as possible.

New Tesla Protection
A new Tesla does not necessarily need extensive paint correction simply because it has just been delivered.
What it does benefit from is proper inspection and preparation before long-term protection is applied.
Our Tesla New Car Protection options can combine:
Paint Protection Film on high-impact areas with ceramic coating across the remaining paintwork, wheels and glass.
This is one of the most popular combinations for new Model Y and Model 3 owners because it provides physical protection where the car is most exposed while making the rest of the vehicle easier to maintain.
A new-car package can be tailored from a relatively straightforward detail and ceramic coating through to complete full-car PPF.
The Tesla Model Y is one of the models we most frequently see for paint protection.
For owners primarily concerned about stone chips, Model Y Full Front PPF protects the bumper, bonnet, front wings, headlights, wing mirrors and other vulnerable forward-facing areas.
A Track Pack can extend that protection further along the lower door sections and other high-impact areas, while full-car Model Y PPF provides protection across virtually every painted exterior panel.
We have also completed full-car Model Y installations where the Tesla badges were removed before fitting and refitted over the film to avoid unnecessary cut-outs around the emblems.
The same protection options are available for the latest Tesla Model Y Juniper, including targeted PPF, Full Front, extended packages, ceramic coating and complete vehicle protection.
For black and other darker Model Y finishes, ceramic coating or PPF can also make ongoing maintenance considerably easier, virtually eliminating swirl marks when combined with correct washing technique
Tesla Model 3 PPF and Ceramic Coating
We provide the same range of detailing and paint protection services for the Tesla Model 3, including the latest Model 3 Highland.
Depending on how the car is used, protection can range from front bumper or Full Front PPF through to complete full-car coverage.
For owners who are less concerned about stone chips but want easier maintenance and improved gloss, a New Car Detail combined with a professional ceramic coating can be a more proportionate option.
We previously documented a brand-new Model 3 Highland receiving a full New Car Protection Detail, paint preparation and ceramic coating at our Berkshire studio.
Model S and Model X vehicles can also be protected using the same tailored approach.
The larger body panels and different vehicle shapes mean the amount of film and installation time can vary significantly between models, so PPF is quoted according to the exact vehicle and coverage required.
Older Model S and Model X vehicles can also respond extremely well to paint correction where years of washing and general use have reduced the original clarity and gloss.

PPF or Ceramic Coating for a Tesla?
Neither is automatically the right choice for every Tesla.
Ceramic coating primarily provides chemical protection, improved water behaviour and easier maintenance. It is a strong option if your main priority is keeping the vehicle easier to clean and maintaining gloss.
Paint Protection Film provides the physical protection that a ceramic coating cannot, including resistance to stone chips, minor scratches and scuffs.
Many Tesla owners therefore combine the two.
For example, Full Front PPF can protect the panels most exposed to road debris, while ceramic coating is applied to the remaining paintwork, wheels and glass.
If stone chips are your main concern, prioritise PPF.
If easier maintenance is the priority, ceramic coating may be sufficient.
If you want both forms of protection, the two work extremely well together.
Stealth and Colour PPF for Tesla
Tesla PPF does not have to simply preserve the factory appearance.
Stealth PPF, or satin Paint Protection Film can transform gloss paintwork into a satin-style finish while protecting the original colour beneath.
Colour-changing PPF can create a much more dramatic transformation while retaining the thicker, self-healing protection associated with PPF.
Gloss black, satin black and carbon-effect films are also available for selected panels and trim.
Stealth and colour-changing installations generally cost more than conventional clear PPF because the specialist film is more expensive and additional installation work is usually required around edges and panel returns to produce a convincing transformation.

What is the best protection for a new Tesla?
If preventing stone chips and scratches is the priority, Paint Protection Film provides the strongest physical protection. Ceramic coating can then be used to improve water behaviour, gloss and ease of maintenance.
Many new Model Y and Model 3 owners choose Full Front PPF combined with ceramic coating on the remainder of the vehicle.
Is PPF worth it on a Tesla Model Y
It can be particularly worthwhile if the vehicle covers regular motorway mileage, is being kept long term or you want to preserve the original paintwork.
You do not necessarily need full-car PPF. Full Front or targeted protection can provide a more proportionate solution depending on how the vehicle is used
Does Tesla PPF change the appearance of the paint?
High-quality clear PPF is designed to remain extremely discreet and preserve the original appearance of the paintwork. Satin, stealth and colour-changing options are also available.
Does ceramic coating stop stone chips?
No. Ceramic coating helps with chemical resistance, water behaviour and maintenance, but it does not provide protection against stone impacts and other physical damage
Paint Protection Film is required for impact protection.
Can you remove swirl marks from Tesla paint?
Yes we can. The achievable result depends on the depth of the defects, condition of the clear coat and previous paintwork history. Our paint correction services range from light refinement through to multi-stage correction.
How long will you need my Tesla?
This depends on the service .A straightforward detailing or ceramic coating package takes between 1 and 4 days. Full car PPF can take 5-7 days.
We will confirm the expected turnaround when quoting for the specific vehicle and work required.
