This Porsche 911 S/T came to us for complete Paint Protection Film coverage, with the aim of preserving the condition and original paintwork of a particularly special modern Porsche.
Rather than limiting protection to the bonnet and front bumper, every painted exterior panel received PPF.
For rare and collector-focused cars, this can make sense even when annual mileage is relatively low. Preserving original paintwork is important, and PPF can reduce the likelihood of stone-chip repairs or repainting becoming necessary later.
You can see more of our marque-specific approach on our Porsche detailing, ceramic coating and PPF page.
We used ProFilm UCP12 ultra-clear self-healing Paint Protection Film.
The film provides a sacrificial physical layer over the factory finish while retaining the gloss and appearance of the paintwork beneath it.
Fine surface marks within the film can self-heal when warmed, making full-car PPF particularly useful for owners concerned about maintaining the original finish.
For details about the film, coverage packages and installation methods we use, visit our Paint Protection Film service page.
Full-car installation involves considerably more than covering each panel.
Selected parts of the vehicle were removed where appropriate so that PPF edges could be hidden rather than simply finishing in visible areas.
Edges were wrapped wherever the Porsche's panel design allowed.
Patterns were plotted in-house on our Graphtec FC9000, allowing us to inspect and modify coverage before installation.
A Full Front package remains a sensible choice for many road-driven Porsche 911s.
For rare cars such as the S/T, protecting the entire exterior provides additional reassurance against scratches, wash marks, minor scuffs and damage away from the front of the vehicle.
Not every Porsche requires this level of coverage. Full Front and extended Track Pack protection can provide a more proportionate option depending on the model and how it is driven.
From road-driven 911s through to GT cars, modern limited-production models and older Porsches, our recommendations are based on the actual vehicle rather than simply its value.
