Ceramic Coating For Cars In Berkshire

If you're looking for a professional ceramic coating for your car, you've come to the right place.

A ceramic coating is one of the most effective ways to protect your vehicle's paintwork while making it easier to clean and maintain. Unlike traditional waxes or sealants, a professional ceramic coat forms a durable layer that bonds with the paint surface, helping to resist contamination, UV damage, road grime and environmental fallout.

Whether you drive your car every day or own a cherished weekend vehicle, ceramic paint protection helps preserve the finish, enhance gloss and reduce the amount of maintenance needed to keep it looking its best.

At On Track Detailing, every ceramic coating begins with thorough preparation. The paint is carefully washed, chemically decontaminated and machine polished where required before the coating is applied. Proper preparation is what allows a ceramic coating to perform as intended and deliver long-lasting results.

All ceramic coatings are applied at our dedicated studio in Wokingham. We serve customers from Reading, Berkshire, Hampshire, Surrey and West London.

What Is Ceramic Coating?

Ceramic coating is a liquid protective coating that chemically bonds with a vehicle's clear coat to create a durable, transparent protective layer. Unlike waxes that sit on the surface and wash away, ceramic coatings bond to your paintwork and provide long-term protection while enhancing the appearance of the paint.

Many owners choose a ceramic coating for their car because it reduces the time and effort needed to maintain the vehilcle. Dirt, water and road grime are less likely to stick to the surface, making regular washing quicker and safer.

Ceramic paint protection also helps defend against common environmental contaminants including bird droppings, tree sap, UV exposure, road salt and traffic film. While no coating can prevent stone chips or deep scratches, it provides an additional protective barrier against the everyday contamination every vehicle experiences.

Many people ask whether coating a car is worthwhile. For owners who want their vehicle to remain cleaner, retain a deep gloss and reduce the need for regular polishing, the answer is often yes. A professionally installed ceramic coating provides protection that lasts significantly longer than traditional waxes while maintaining a "freshly detailed" appearance.

When combined with proper washing techniques and routine maintenance, ceramic coatings help preserve your vehicle's finish for years rather than weeks.

More Than Paint Protection

Ceramic coatings can protect far more than the painted bodywork.

Specialist coatings are available for alloy wheels, brake calipers, exterior glass, textured plastics, gloss-black trim and carbon-fibre components. Compatible products can also be applied to Paint Protection Film, vinyl wraps and matte or satin finishes.

Interior protection is available for leather, fabrics and carpets, helping these surfaces resist staining and making them easier to maintain.

Each material requires a coating designed specifically for that surface. Wheel, glass and interior protection can be added to most ceramic coating packages.

Key Benefits of Ceramic Coatings:

  • Long-lasting Protection: Coatings last between 2–7 years, depending on the product and maintenance.
  • Hydrophobic Properties: Water beads readily, and dirt and grime are less likely to bond to the surface, keeping your car cleaner for longer.
  • UV and Chemical Resistance: Helps prevent fading, bird lime damage, tar, and tree sap stains.
  • Wet Look Gloss: Retains a stunning, deep gloss all year round.
  • Ease of Maintenance: Reduces washing time and reduces the risk of wash induced swirl marks when cleaned correctly.

Popular Ceramic Coating Options

We offer ceramic coatings for a wide range of vehicle surfaces, including paintwork, textured plastics, glass, vinyl and Paint Protection Film.

Multi-layer coating systems are also available for owners seeking greater durability and longer-lasting protection.

Depending on the vehicle and your requirements, we use established brands including Labocosmetica, Gyeon, Gtechniq, Apex, CarPro and Infinity Wax.

How Much Does Ceramic Coating Cost?

Our professional car coating and ceramic protection packages start from £499 including VAT

The final price depends on the size and condition of the vehicle, the level of paint correction required, the durability of the chosen coating and whether additional surfaces such as the wheels, glass or interior are also being protected.

Our packages begin with The One Day Detail, designed for owners who want improved gloss, easier maintenance and ceramic coating protection without extensive defect removal. For vehicles with visible swirl marks, scratches or tired paintwork, our Paint Correction packages include more intensive preparation before the coating is applied.

We will assess your vehicle, explain the available options and what our recommendations are for your vehicles use case and budget.

Ceramic Coating or Paint Protection Film?

Ceramic coating and Paint Protection Film serve different purposes.

A ceramic coating provides chemical protection. It helps prevent road grime, traffic film, bird droppings, tree sap and other environmental contamination from bonding as firmly to the paintwork. It also improves water behaviour, reduces maintenance and helps protect against UV exposure and light chemical staining.

Paint Protection Film provides physical protection. Its thicker, self-healing surface helps defend vulnerable panels against stone chips, scratches, minor scuffs, swirl marks and road debris.

For more complete protection, PPF can be installed on high-impact areas such as the front bumper, bonnet, wings and mirrors, with ceramic coating then applied to the remaining paintwork and over the film where suitable.

This combination is particularly popular for new, high-value and frequently driven vehicles.

Why Choose On Track Detailing?

Every ceramic coating package is tailored around the condition of the vehicle and the result you want.

We do not use the same preparation process for every car. A well-maintained new vehicle may only need light refinement, while an older car with visible wash damage may require more extensive paint correction before the ceramic coating is applied.

All work is completed inside our dedicated detailing and PPF studio using professional directed lighting, specialist equipment and premium products from established manufacturers. With more than 20 years of hands-on experience, we can provide clear, realistic advice on preparation, coating durability and ongoing maintenance.

We offer ceramic coating options from two to seven years, with protection also available for wheels, glass, exterior plastics and Paint Protection Film.

Our business is fully insured, pricing is set and confirmed before work begins and ongoing maintenance and aftercare support are available for life, at no additional charge once the vehicle has been completed.
