This is not a low-quality headlight tint film or one of the brown-grey kits commonly affected by excessive texture and orange peel.
Our kit uses high-quality, optically clear tinted Paint Protection Film. It gives the headlights a darker, smoked appearance while providing a protective barrier against stone chips, scratches and road debris.
The film has a 50% VLT rating and is cut specifically for the Golf Mk8.5 headlights. This is the darkest legal option available.
Every kit is plotted in-house by us for consistent accuracy. The film is covered by a 10-year manufacturer’s warranty.
Fitting is straightforward and normally takes approximately 30 to 45 minutes for the pair. An installation kit containing application solution and a squeegee can also be supplied if required.

Installation Instructions
- Open the bonnet and thoroughly clean both headlights. Also clean the gaps above and below the headlights and the surrounding bumper area. Claying the headlights is strongly recommended if the surface feels contaminated.
- Remove the tinted PPF from its backing sheet, then wet both the adhesive side of the film and the headlight with the application solution.
- Position the film and begin by aligning the inside edge nearest the front grille.
- Squeegee the film from the inside outwards, checking that it remains correctly aligned along the top and bottom edges.
- Carefully work the film towards the outside of the headlight. Remove any fingers as you progress by stretching the material. Gentle heat from a hairdryer may be used if required.
- Once fitted, carefully warm and press down all edges using a hairdryer or heat gun on a low-to-medium setting. Do not overheat the film or headlight.
- Avoid washing the vehicle for two to three days. Check that every edge is fully sealed before the first wash.
