The kit covers both the digital instrument display and central navigation screen, creating a protective layer without affecting touchscreen operation or image clarity.
It is available in high-gloss clear or anti-glare matte film.
Why Protect Your BMW iDrive Screen?
Modern BMW curved displays are touched and cleaned regularly. Dust, fingerprints and incorrect cleaning methods can leave scratches and marks across the glossy surface.
Replacing the complete display can be extremely expensive. PPF protects the original screen while making it easier to clean and maintain.
The self-healing film can recover from light surface marks and has a hydrophobic top coat that helps reduce fingerprints and smudges.
Gloss or Matte Screen PPF
The high-gloss option retains the original clear, glossy appearance of the BMW display. It provides excellent image clarity and is ideal if you want the screen to look as close to standard as possible.
Our matte option reduces reflections and glare while giving the display a smooth satin finish. We recommend matte PPF for cars regularly driven in bright conditions or for owners who find the original screen particularly reflective.
Both finishes are suitable for touchscreen displays.
BMW Compatibility
This kit is designed for selected BMW models fitted with the large iDrive 8 or iDrive 9 curved display. Compatible vehicles may include versions of the BMW 2 Series, 3 Series, 4 Series, 5 Series, 7 Series, X3, X5, X6, X7, i4, i5, i7 and iX.
BMW used different screen sizes and systems across model years, even within the same model range. Please check that your screen matches the product photographs before ordering.
If you are unsure, send us your BMW model, registration year and a clear photograph of the complete display. We will confirm compatibility before you order.
Pre-Cut for Easier Installation
Every BMW screen PPF kit is plotted in-house by On Track Detailing for consistent accuracy. The film arrives pre-cut to fit the instrument and navigation displays, so no cutting is required inside the vehicle.
Correct preparation is important because dust trapped underneath the film will remain visible. Install the kit in a clean, sheltered environment and thoroughly clean the screen before starting.
What Does the Kit Include?
Each kit contains pre-cut PPF for the BMW instrument display and navigation screen, together with access to our installation guidance.
An installation kit containing the application solution and squeegee can also be added when ordering.
Installation Guidance
The display should remain switched off during installation. Avoid applying excessive pressure or allowing liquid to enter the edges, controls or dashboard openings.
Simply clean the screen, apply the installation solution, line up the protection film and squeegee out all the moisture

Professional installation is available at the On Track Detailing studio in Finchampstead, Berkshire.
