Protect Your BMW F20 B Pillars

The gloss-black B pillar trims look great when they are clean, but the finish is extremely easy to mark. Fingerprints, washing and simply touching the pillars when closing the doors can quickly leave behind scratches and swirl marks.

Polishing can improve them, but the soft gloss-black surface will usually become marked again. PPF creates an almost invisible protective layer over the original trims, helping to prevent further damage without changing their appearance.

The high-gloss film will also hide all visible swirl marks and fading, although deeper scratches may still remain visible underneath.

You don't need to polish prior to application.

Pre-Cut High-Gloss Paint Protection Film

Every BMW F20 B pillar PPF kit is plotted in-house by On Track Detailing for an accurate and consistent fit. The film arrives pre-cut, so you do not need to trim or cut anything on the vehicle.

Our high-gloss PPF is self-healing from light scratches and swirl marks. It has a hydrophobic top coat that makes the pillars easier to clean while helping to reduce fingerprints, water marks and dirt build-up.

The film delivers a deep, glossy finish without the heavy texture or orange peel often found in lower-quality protective films. It is covered by a 12-year manufacturer’s warranty.

BMW F20 Compatibility

This kit fits all five-door BMW F20 1 Series models produced between 2011 and 2019. This includes standard, Sport, M Sport and Shadow Edition versions, as well as the BMW M135i and M140i.

It is designed specifically for the five-door F20 and will not fit the three-door BMW F21.

What Does the Kit Include?

Each kit contains four pre-cut pieces of high-gloss clear PPF. You will receive two sections for the driver’s side and two for the passenger side, covering all four gloss-black B pillar trims.

An installation kit containing the application solution and squeegee can also be added when ordering.

Fitting Instructions

Installation Difficulty: Easy

Allow approximately 30 to 45 minutes and install the kit in a clean, sheltered area away from direct sunlight.

1. Clean the B pillar trims thoroughly, removing any dirt, wax or product residue.
2. If the surface feels rough or contaminated, carefully clay the trims before cleaning and drying them again.
3. Spray the slip solution onto the pillar and the adhesive side of the PPF.
4. Position the pre-cut film, align the edges and use the squeegee to remove the solution from underneath.
5. Carefully dry the edges with a clean microfibre towel. Gentle warmth from a hair dryer can be used where necessary, but avoid overheating the film or trim.
6. Check that every edge is secure and allow the film to settle before washing the vehicle.
